About

Hi and welcome!

Disclosure – I have a tendency to waffle, you have been warned.
Lately I have been consumed by thoughts and fears about the environment, global warming, too much plastic in the seas, disconnection with life, being sat at a computer all day and my body slowly crumbling from being so sedentary, being in a job I hate and not living life to the full. But I decided instead of letting all this get on top of me (although it likely still will as I am a natural worrier, and I literally feel the weight of the world on my shoulders – well metaphorically but the life/death of the planet due to global warming), I would start a blog looking at ways in which to combat all this, and hopefully connect with other like-minded people. And maybe even inspire others to do the same…

In a bid to waffle less, here are some bullet points about me πŸ˜€
1. I don’t know how to insert bullet points on this website and don’t know how to express my lack of caring about that without emojis (seriously, how did we communicate feelings before them – also this is exactly my point about disconnection).

2. I work at a desk job but my dream is to help others with their mental health. I have a Masters in Psychology but taking any job in this would mean a huge pay cut which I just can’t afford at the moment (I feel extremely trapped and truly wish I could live without money!).

3. I try to live as sustainably as possible and have even tried to grow my own fruit and veg this year (it has been semi-successful).

4. I am happiest when either with my cats or out in nature. I think being amongst other creatures or out in the country away from noise and pollution and technology is one of the best things for mental wellbeing.

5. I really think humans have lost touch with what is real and important – which is where this blog comes in!
